Your key roles are to advise the Chair, Deputy Chair, Chief Executive and trustee board on all financial matters. You will also chair the finance committee and lead the strategic direction of that committee. You will work closely with and support the financial accountant who is a qualified accountant and generates the vast majority of financial reports. In order to preserve independence, your role is one of overview rather than a generator of data.
You will need to have commitment and integrity in advising the board on financial matters and maintaining financial control. The role involves a mix of working from home and the office. You will need to attend meetings at the office or virtually by video link.
You will also be a trustee which means that you attend trustee board meetings and participate in those meetings, and participate the its overall strategic direction.
The Trustee Board meets 4- 5 times per year and the finance committee meets 4 times a year, or additionally where required.
