IDVA/Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker

2 Year Fixed Term Contract

Hours:  36 hours per week

Salary:   FTE £26,000 per annum plus contributory pension

Location: Walton on Thames

We are looking for a new member of our domestic abuse outreach service. This role will be working with survivors of domestic abuse.

Black and Minoritized Women’s Outreach Worker

2 Year Fixed Term Contract

Hours:  36 hours per week

Salary : FTE £28,000 per annum plus contributory pension

Location : Walton on Thames

North Surrey Domestic Abuse Service are recruiting for an outreach  worker that will work with survivors from black and minoritized women communities across Surrey who have been affected by domestic abuse, on behalf of Surrey Domestic Abuse Partnership

The worker will help to identify black or minoritized women who may be at risk of or suffering domestic abuse by forging links with faith and community groups across Surrey.

The role provides dedicated support and empowers black and minoritized women who may face barriers that may prevent them reporting abuse.

Whatever their experience, women from these communities may encounter additional barriers to receiving the practical help needed to keep them and their families safe.

This role will look at improving the effectiveness of reporting domestic abuse, aiming to improve responses to abuse that reflect and respect cultural needs.

Black and ‘Minority Ethnic’ Women only need apply (Schedule 9, Part 1, 158 and 159 Equality Act 2010). All posts are subject to a DBS vetting and barring check.
