Choice Based Lettings (CBL) is a government initiative developed to give housing applicants more choice about where they want to live.
Five organisations within North Surrey have joined together to form a partnership; SEARCH MOVES. The partners are Spelthorne Borough Council, Elmbridge Borough Council, Runnymede Borough Council, A2Dominion Housing Group and Elmbridge Housing Trust. Eligible applicants will be invited to ‘bid’ for properties, no money will change hands and priority will be given to those applicants in most housing need and according to the length of time on the housing register.

Protect your Property – A campaign by the Land Registry
Fraudsters often target properties where there is no mortgage or the owner lives elsewhere. They may attempt to acquire the title by using a forged transfer or impersonating the owner. One way to help stop them is to ensure the contact details held for you are up to date. www.landregistry.gov.uk
Mediation North Surrey
Tel: 0870 751 4311
If you are having a problem with your neighbour mediation is a way of helping people explore problems. Conducted in a safe, sensitive and confidential manner, solutions acceptable to everyone are able to be reached without the added anxiety and expense of legal intervention. It allows all parties to understand and control the outcome, rather than it being enforced through outside channels.
